Not just another Monday
Today was our second ultrasound. First, we got to the doctor at 8:45 because we had an appointment at 9am. When we tried to enter the office it was locked with a note on the door saying the office was going to open at 9am. The office girls got there shortly after that. They told us we were way early and we said our appointment was for 9am. They said they don't take the first appointment until 9:30 which confused us. When one of the office girls looked on the computer they told us our appointment was not until 11:30. We were shocked and said that had to be a mistake. They said sometimes they make mistakes but I knew that I wrote down 9am at work. They told us no problem and said they could fit us in early. After waiting around for about an hour (Sam was not a happy camper) they got us in. Now we got to do another ultrasound that was not on the belly again. Peanut had grown so big. Peanut looks like a teddy graham. You know the snack food. We could see the arms and legs buds. They just moved around in a floating pattern. It was so cool and a little creepy at the same time. We heard the heartbeat for the second time. The doctor wanted to see what is was this time around because it was a little slow. Usually it should be around 120-160 sometimes it can be around 110-170 in the first trimester. The first time it was 110 this time it was 160. If Peanut is getting extreme right instances right now I can't wait to see what is going to happen when it actually arrives. The doctor says everything looks great and set our next appointment for a month out. January 27 I believe. She gave us some books, coupons, free samples of baby formula, a portable changing pad, and other things I have not had a chance to look at yet because Sam carried them out to his car and then took then to work. I might see them tomorrow. Went to work no problems there except for getting really sleepy after lunch so I took a nap around 3:30-4. It was refreshing and got me through the rest of the day. Got home around 9pm and relaxed for an hour and now I am getting ready for bed to do it all over again tomorrow. Good night don't let the bed bugs bite!
