Week 7

This week the baby is .16-.20 inches. That is about the size of a BB pellet. By the end of the week it will be .44-.52 inches or about the size of a pea. The baby is starting to develop leg buds that look like short fins. The arms have divided into hand segments and arm and shoulder segments. The heart has divided into left and right chambers. The lungs are present. The brain, eyes, and nostrils are developing. I now weigh 167.4 which is only a one pound gain. I think that is good considering I have been on bed rest for several days. Looking forward to getting back to work and off of bed rest.
