Hooray!!!

Ok, so I know that everyone has been worried about me and the baby and the good news is that we are doing great! Sam and I went to the doctor this morning to have our first ultrasound. It was a very surreal experience. I am sill too early to have the belly ultrasound so I had a well the other one without getting too graphic. We saw the uterus, the embryonic sack, the yolk( that the baby is in), and the baby. You could see a little flicker of light which we found out was the heartbeat. It was so weird to see what is growing inside me when I don't feel any different. The doctor asked us if we wanted to hear the heartbeat and of course we said yes. I wish I had a camera to take a picture of Sam's face when we heard it. He was so surprised it made me smile. She took a couple of pictures of the baby and went over some things with us. We have another appointment in two weeks and if everything is going well then we will have appointments once a month.
After our appointment we stopped at The Maternity Store off of 635. It was such a cool place! They had diaper bags, baby clothes and assories, maternity clothes, and bras. They gave us free water and OJ. Sam and I were so excited that we had to by a few things. I got a pair of jeans, 2 pairs of slacks, and sweater. I asked Sam if he wanted to get the baby anything I knew he wanted a particular onesie. It was just too cute to pass up. It is yellow with with a duck face on the front. One sleeve says,"Here a quack" the other sleeve says, "There a quack" and around the neck is says, "Everywhere a quack quack." On the butt is says quack qusck and it has a TAIL!! SOOO cute! We also have booties that match. They have duckies on the top of the bootie and on the bottom is says quack. We just got back home and Sam is taking a nap because he has a headache. I am going to relax as much as I can because I get to go back to work tomorrow. Thank you for all the prayers. I know they helped.

  1. I'm so glad you're doing well! Are you going to find out what you are having when the time comes?
